Network-to-Network Interface Disclosure

Province-Wide Enhanced 9-1-1 Service - Maritime Tel & Tel

Aliant Telecom Inc., on behalf of Maritime Tel & Tel (MT&T), announces the planned offering of interconnection between Local Service Providers (LSPs) and MT&T’s Province-Wide E9-1-1 Service for the purpose of providing 9-1-1 service to the LSPs end customers. Interconnection arrangements are expected to become available by IQ98.

Interconnection is via dedicated trunk side connections to MT&T’s Voice Network to facilitate transport of 9-1-1 calls from the LSPs end customers through MT&T’s voice network to the appropriate 9-1-1 Service Bureau, as well as via data connections to allow the updating of MT&T’s E9-1-1 Management System with the pertinent LSP end customers’ calling number and location information.

Compatibility Impact:

None expected.

The interface specifications are contained in Aliant Telecom Interface Document ATID-0005, Province-Wide Enhanced 9-1-1 Service, Network-to-Network Interfaces Between Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) and the MT&T Network, dated December 1997.

Recipients will be billed $50 for an electronic version of interface documents.  Hard copies are also available for $65 each.  Please note that the prices are subject to change without notice.
